Wendy Dunham Writing never feels like a chore to me, so it's not really something I need to become inspired for. Maybe that's because I often feel as though I never have enough time to write. So when I do have the opportunity, I embrace that time with gratitude . . . and really, gratitude alone is all the inspiration that's needed.
Wendy Dunham Honestly, I'm not convinced there is such a thing. As long as I can free my mind from the sometimes overwhelming things in life that can bog me down, I think there's always something to write about. I usually take a deep breath, say a prayer, and set my pen in motion. And then I try not to stop.
Wendy Dunham 1. Never give up. If a story begs to be written. It must be. 2. Read every kind of book, including those on the writer's craft. 3. Be receptive to critiques-learn from them. 4. Revise until your pen runs dry. And when it does, go buy another and start again.
Wendy Dunham I'm currently writing a picture book for the forthcoming Reagandoodle and Little Buddy book series.
Wendy Dunham For my upcoming early reader series, The Tales of Buttercup Grove, I received the inspiration and idea while attending a Highlights workshop in Honesdale, PA. Highlights is truly a magical place.
