Sadie Conall I wanted to write about a strong, independent woman who lived around the time of the Regency period and as I've always had a love affair with the UK (my mother was born in England, my grandparents in Ireland) and America and Native Americans, the story had to be set in these locations. I also wanted a touch of fantasy within the story, as its one of my favorite genres.
Sadie Conall I always have stories running through my mind. Anything will set me off, from a song I hear or even watching someone and imagining what their life might be like (and how I could change it!). I've been writing stories since I was a child. If I can't write, I get very grumpy!
Sadie Conall Never stop reading (I read anything and everything) and never stop writing. The more you write, the better you get.
Sadie Conall Doing what I love, creating characters and stories that become very real to me, some of them taking on a life of their own and becoming more important to the story than I wanted them to! I also love working my own hours, at my own pace, even working through the night if I want to.
Sadie Conall I get away from the book for awhile. Just to have a break and think things over.
