Victoria Ward Hi, i am currently reading Lisey's Story by Stephen King. I have loads of books saved to my to read list, most tend to be thrillers. I have just downloaded the book Blind Side by Jennie Ensor, a psychological thriller based around the London terror attacks and so am looking forward to reading this.
Victoria Ward Yoga and mindfulness exercises are my saviour. Once you hit that block there is no use in telling yourself to think, to concentrate because the more that you do this the harder it is to overcome. It is best to have a distraction in place, something that will inspire you. It could be exercise, a long walk, drawing, reading anything that you love to do, do it and do it often, even if it is taking a hot bubble bath with a glass of wine, relax and let go and the ideas will come.
Victoria Ward Feeling like I am not working because I love what I am doing. To me this is not my job but my passion.
Victoria Ward You are a writer so write. Write anything and everything as often as you can and one day you will have your story.
Victoria Ward I am working on the sequel to Jenna Jaghe. I am also studying for a Masters in Writing for Performance and Publication at university and I am also working on a thriller.
Victoria Ward My friends are behind a lot of my inspiration, one in particular, where we can just be completely ridiculous together. We bounce off each other and I always come away with lots of new ideas for my writing when we have been together. In fact she often says that she will have written on my gravestone, 'hang on a minute let me just write that down' because I am forever taking notes on our conversations. My granddad plays a huge part in my inspiration because he is the funniest person that I know and he says things so innocently and is unaware of his humour which makes him even more hilarious.
Victoria Ward I was in a similar position to Jenna Jaghe which also resulted in me tackling single motherhood and trying to keep my business afloat. My hormones were raging and I felt like I was going a little crazy at the time (still have those days) and I decided to keep a diary and it all really started there.
