My favorite fictional couple: great question, and something I had never thought about before. I'll say Sarah and Don Halifax, from ROLLBACK by Robert J. Sawyer. An elderly couple, they decide to each undergo a series of medical treatments that will make them decades younger, in a physical sense. But it only works on one of them, and they must work through their vast differences. While their situation is unique, some of their challenges—as a couple trying to stay together—are universal.
