Kim H. Krisco My missing sibling. My mother "lost" a child before she had me. Did learn this until I was in my teens. There were no details just that fact, form a cousin. When I inquired of my parents, they said that was not true. I let the matter go until it came up again, from another family member when I was nearly fifty. Both parents were dead, so I decided to dig into the matter myself. Someone was hiding something.

BTW: I am using this as a plot for a novel in progress. Thanks for asking.
Kim H. Krisco I was doing research in Aviemore Scotland on a series of stories based upon British Mythology - in this case, The Grey Man of Ben MacDhui. One gentleman I was interviewing about this mythical beast said, "It's a mystery only Sherlock Holmes can solve," and it inspired me to write my stories as Sherlock Holmes pastiches.
Kim H. Krisco Always loved writing --even as a child. I'm an introvert and it seemed to suit and fit with my rich "interior life."

Kim H. Krisco The "old saw" - just start. Write anything - even if you are copying something. I sometimes write phrases I like as I read. Then practice changing them to express a slightly different or new thought. Get the "juices" flowing!
