Keep waiting for your last "geezer-lit" books to come out in audio. Shall I keep looking, or is audio a thing of the past?

Mike Befeler Patricia, the first four books in the Paul Jacobson Geezer-lit Mystery Series are out in audio (Retirement Homes Are Murder, Living with Your Kids Is Murder, Senior Moments Are Murder and Cruising in Your Eighties Are Murder). The other two (Care Homes Are Murder and Nursing Homes
Are Murder) are under contract to come out as audio but no dates yet. My paranormal geezer-lit mystery, The Back Wing, is out as audio. This takes place in a retirement community where there is a front wing with normal but snobby people and a back wing with friendly but extraordinary residents. Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Mike Befeler My upcoming book (January, 2015), Mystery of the Dinner Playhouse, came about because my family has been involved in theater and I also did book signings at two mystery playhouses.

How do you get inspired to write?

Mike Befeler By being alive. Material is everywhere: people I meet, articles in the newspaper, thoughts in the middle of the night, something I see on a hike.

What are you currently working on?

Mike Befeler I'm writing my first non-fiction, the biography of a 95-year-old World War II vetaran. Ed was an infantryman in Europe, captured by the Germans and liberated by the Russians. He has wonderful stories about his experiences including being the greatest chicken thief in all of Europe.
