Talented is the word that came to mind while Ivan admired the perfect incision. He then hung the newly decapitated head, dripping in blood, next to the row of recently collected specimens in his beloved string of mercy killings.

I've been working on more than a few projects, so I'm behind. Inferno has been sitting on my shelf waiting to be cracked. I think I'll do that this summer.

All of the Twisted Family Holidays Collection are based on events, to some degree or another, on my life and family.

"The Town Beneath the Christmas Tree" was created, one late November, when my granddaughter Hailey (also the star), complained that I hadn't created a story staring the grandchildren, I had one with their parents aunts and uncles. That story is part of the anthology: "Lost Tales from the Mountain: A Halloween Anthology, Volume II" (Mountain Springs House Publishing). I looked at the Christmas tree, and then the town beneath it, complete with a functional train, and knew that the grandchildren would be transported there.

I've always enjoyed creative writing, going back to the second grade; and had played with the idea of writing a professional book on anger management, which I was somewhat of an expert. Life got in the way after three chapters, and thank God it did. It was awful. Then, in 2006, I was misplaced from a long-term job and had the time. I’ve been writing is some form ever since.

I have two books coming out in the next several weeks. The first continues in the tradition of the twisted family holiday book -- "The Town Beneath the Christmas Tree” (Books To Go Now publisher) -- and is set around the Easter holiday. The working title is "Good Friday: Dreams and Nightmares" but that could change. It is intended for an older crowd, with a bit of romance. It is about the same length. The other, “In Passing,” (Linkville Press) is a full-length Paranormal Suspense, and actually has two parallel adventures, with the same heroine, but years apart. The first adventure occurs after an accidental suicide. The other while she tells the story of her adventure; simultaneously evading “Death”, who’s been following her ever since.

Write for the love of it, and the therapeutic value. Meanwhile, develop a career, because making any real money is long-time coming, if it does. Or, it takes a stroke of good fortune and blessings.

I haven't really experienced writer's block, but if I get stuck somewhere, I walk away until a new idea appears. Usually not long.
