Hi James, thanks for getting in touch.
I've been fascinated by the period between the Dark Ages and up to the Tudor times for many years, but I honestly can't say why. Even before I started writing I would search for programmes and films set in the middle ages, and obviously books as well!
In terms of inspiration, I find that it gives me a framework to hang my stories on, though sometimes this can also be restricting. However, because my concentration is on the paranormal element of my writing, albeit it in an historical setting (usually), I do tend to stretch or distort the truth to a certain degree.
And after all, who knows what really happened nearly a thousand years ago!

Keep writing no matter what. If you don't write you won't get anywhere.

Seeing your story published.

I have to walk away and go and do something else. Eventually I get fed up with not doing any writing and I force myself to sit at the laptop and type. The break usually helps.
