Never give up, and strive for balance in your life. (Now, I will try to take my own advice. I tend to be obsessive when it comes to writing fiction.)

Hi Michael: Thanks for the information. My friend, Lala Corriere, has suggested this organization, too. Is it still meeting at the Viscount? I plan to check it out later in the year. I work/write from my log cabin in Colorado from June-Nov. I can only attend meetings Dec-May. Are you in the Tucson area? Thanks again. Cricket

I have rarely experienced true writer's block. Sometimes I struggle to find the specific words to express my idea(s), but I'm never out of ideas. If I do hit a temporary block, I take a walk. (But I always take my hand-held recorder with me--because you never know when that idea, that word, etc. will pop up.

I am stepping away from writing romantic mysteries for a while, though there will likely be some romance and some mystery in my next project. I am just in the outlining phase right now, so lots can/will change, but here is what I'm thinking today:
My next project is a three-book, unique body of work. The first book is a work of fiction. Hollywood, family relationships, illness, and several types of survival are a few of the topics/themes that will come to life in this novel. Book 1 will be followed by a sequel and then one companion non-fiction book. More info in the future.

Hi Jeffrey, I belong to the Saguaro Romance Writers group and am looking to a mystery writers group now since my writing is leaning more in that direction now. I found the groups by looking into the national group and they led me to the local chapter. As far a true writing group that actually works on writing and helping each other, I haven't found any of those either. I have to admit I haven't tried very hard. Just don't have the time. Good luck to you. What do you write?
Jeffrey Roberts
I write science fiction, fantasy, horror, and comedy/fantasy.

I find inspiration when I pay attention to the life around me--the good to great; the bad to worse. To me, writing is a wonderful luxury.
