My most recent book out is 'Bitterly'. I wanted to write another short story collection, and was drawn to creating one setting for all the tales. In the summer of 2018 there was a serious moors fire very close to where I live, and I took inspiration from this, and built the setting around it. What if, after they put the fire out, something else remained? Something that had been released from the hillside? Something ancient and terrible, without form but not without purpose?
