Kelli M. Knight Move ahead. Most of the time a writer knows the whole story, just not the details. Move to a different part and fill in the other parts later.
Kelli M. Knight Anything goes with writing. Anything. I love that dreams can come true in fiction and in non-fiction actual heroes can be recognized and the glory of their life brought to a different life.
Kelli M. Knight Just write. Just do it. You may be a natural or you may not be good at it at first, but read others' works (make sure they are well-written authors), get friends to read you work, and give advice. The cool thing about writing is it's a craft that can be polished and refined. Writers can only get better. Writing is one of those things that if it's in you, then you just have to set it free. So just do it.

I continued to write throughout grade school and still have many of the original short stories created that are in pencil on looseleaf bound by yarn. These stories were mostly about horses, but as I grew my subject matter changed to reflect other issues and topics.
Kelli M. Knight My inspiration for this book came from my personal experience as a teen obsessed with the band Duran Duran. I always dreamed of meeting them and in 2003 the spark for the book came when I was going to one of their concerts in New Orleans.
