J.J. Murphy Hi Rick. Thanks for your encouragement. I haven't quite given up on Mrs. Parker and her Round Table friends--especially since we've all just launched into another Roaring 20s.
Now, as for recommending another book in the "humorous historical mystery" genre... No, I can't. That's why I had to write my own because there aren't any others out there.
However, I have heard people list my books with a few others. Perhaps you might enjoy one of these:
- Maisie Dobbs, by Jacqueline Winspear
- Cocaine Blues, by Kerry Greenwood
- Her Royal Spyness, by Rhys Bowen
I find books go best with a drink in hand. If the book is no good, at least you have a drink to enjoy.
J.J. Murphy Hi Laura,
My apologies for my delay in answering your question. I'm working on a different project right now, and it's taking longer than expected. But I am hoping to write another short story Round Table Mystery before long. I'm still in a pickle about getting (and writing!) the novels. Thanks for your encouragement!

J.J. Murphy Hey Ann,
Thanks for your question. So glad you--and your hubby--like the books. To be honest, whether the books will continue is up to the publisher. And that decision is up in the air right now. However, I just started working on a great new idea for another Round Table Mystery, and one way or another I'll find a way to have it published. This may take awhile, but trust me, it'll be worth it.
Thanks for reading--and reviewing!!

Cheers,
J.J.
J.J. Murphy Hi Ellen, So glad that you love A Friendly Game of Murder. I think I had told you that it's my favorite of my own books! I'm afraid I haven't read the Agata Stanford books. I did find an old one at a library sale called The Dorothy Parker Murder Case by George Baxt, but I haven't had a chance to read it yet. Thanks for writing!
