Um, I have had the temerity to write about the Scottish Question, but my book is set in 1897. Strangely, my research showed me that at least some Scots were deeply dissatisfied with the Union, or rather with the English. I let them have a little fun at our expense and drag in several members of Queen Victoria's extended family to join the party.

Just finished a Sherlock Holmes pastiche: Sherlock Holmes -The Scottish Question (Sons of the Thistle). I'm sure I'll be hammered by Scots readers! I'm working on a collection of Sherlock Holmes stories themed around the railways. Watch out for Sherlock Holmes - Murder on the Brighton Line and Other Stories later in the year.
