I began writing most of it as far back as a decade ago. I would get an idea and write about it; usually it was a Biblical character. I have collected them over the years, and I made the decision to publish them this year.

My book was just published, so I am going to focus on my blog for a bit. It has been quite neglected as of late, while I was working on A Life That Sings.

In my office, I have the words of J.I. Packer hanging by my computer, when he was asked the same:
1. Go deep in personal worship.
2. Write to hit hearts.
3. Write from a sense of calling.
I would add:

The best thing about being a writer is discovering what God has placed inside of me, and to see how it comes out on paper.

I pray and ask God for inspiration. Because I want the words I write to reflect Him. I want to write the words He needs released into the world.
