Cynthia Vespia Such a dangerous question! Sending an author to a fictional world to stir up trouble...heh heh. Well, all the worlds I enjoy reading about are very dangerous. I suppose I'd go to Wonderland and chill with the Cheshire Cat ;)

After all...we all go a little mad sometimes!
Cynthia Vespia I'm returning to the classics: Wuthering Heights; Something Wicked this Way Comes; Catcher in the Rye; Red Badge of Courage; War of the Worlds; Adventures of Huckleberry Finn; and Gulliver's Travels
Cynthia Vespia Well, on more than one occasion I've had guests to my old childhood home tell me they felt as though there were spirits in the house. I'm not sure if they were nice spirits, or benevolent ones but that is a mystery to unfold. Why are they there? What do they want? etc.
Cynthia Vespia Good question...off the top of my head I'd say Odd Thomas and Queenie from Dean Koontz novel. Mostly because Queenie is extremely funny, and unique, and I like their dynamic together. Also, there is of course something to be said for Hermione and Ron!
In other mediums of entertainment, I'd say Hyde and Jackie from That 70's Show. I just recently saw it for the first time and really liked their opposites attract quality. They should've wound up together at the end. Not sure what the producers were thinking there.
Cynthia Vespia Actually, yes I would. I'm currently writing a new series where the protagonist is Indian so I would love to read about the culture.
Cynthia Vespia I hope to be, nothing is confirmed as of yet though.
Cynthia Vespia The best way to deal with writer's block, I've found, is to just sit down and write ANYTHING!
Even if it isn't your book, per say, just sit down and write a blog post or a letter and get your pen moving (I still write long hand on a legal pad!)
Then just buckle down and do the work.
Cynthia Vespia I absolutely love creating characters and worlds for them to play in. Reading has always been an escape for me and in writing it feels like I am reading it for the first time. Even I don't know what is going to happen!
I'm also just tickled to hear reader feedback. That is why I write, to entertain readers, so hearing what you thought juices me.
Cynthia Vespia Write the book first. I've had so many aspiring authors ask me how to get published and invariably the answer always comes down to writing the book. You can worry about the path to publication later.
Also, don't follow the trends. Write about something you're passionate about. Because by the time you write the next big vampire blockbuster, or whatever happens to be hot at the moment, the time for that trend will have passed.
Cynthia Vespia At the moment I'm developing 3 different series so the ideas I got for them are as varied as they are. My post-apocalyptic dystopian future series was inspired by watching the movie version of Divergent.
I'm working on a quirky series about a detective agency that was mostly inspired by a guest at a hotel gym I was working at.
And I am doing a follow up to my acclaimed trilogy Demon Hunter that centers on the hunter's children, mostly his daughter, in a series titled...what else...Demon Huntress.
Cynthia Vespia I get inspiration from random sources. I've been inspired on long car rides, while doing yoga, or when I'm in the shower which is inconvenient because I have no paper handy to jot down my ideas!
