Hi Allana, so great to hear from you. I'm so glad you are enjoying the Mermaid Tales books. Do you have a favorite? Yes, I am writing a new Mermaid Tales book about Shelly. The newest Mermaid Tales came out in December, The Crook and The Crown, where Shelly and her merfriends go the Neptune's Castle and have a mystery to solve.

I remember Marcia Jones saying, "You can always write, it might not be great but you can always write." I believe that is true. I also believe that sometimes you have to write 'crappy' stuff to get to the good stuff!

I loved writing Pirates Don't Wear Pink Sunglasses with Marcia T. Jones with a male pirate, but I thought girls should have fun too. So in Treasure in Trident City, Pearl is the one who goes on a treasure hunt and ends up with a big surprise.
