It is typically believed that all fiction is based on some measure of reality. Do real people inspire your fictional characters?

Beatrice Fishback absolutely. The main characters in Dying to Eat at the Pub are based on two people near and dear to me. Their marriage is real as they deal with misunderstandings and mishaps.

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Beatrice Fishback I haven't found the answer to this question. There are times I have to step away from the computer and read other writers to be inspired again--both fiction and nonfiction. Also, there are times I just start typing and hope something useful will pop up.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Beatrice Fishback I love it when others enjoy what I write and they find themselves transported to another time and place. I want readers to experience God's love through what I write and come away knowing they have a purpose in life.

Beatrice Fishback Don't give up. Be sure to attend writing events where you can meet with editors, publishers and other writers. You can find these events throughout the US and UK by googling for them.
