Over the years, I have conducted hundreds of personal interviews with service members. In one case, I interviewed several Green Berets. They did not want me to use their names in a non-fiction book. So, I wrapped a fictitious story around their story and produced my first novel.

When I am working on a writing project, there are many different types of things to be done. In addition to creating the story and spewing it out onto the page, there is editing, polishing, or rearranging to be done. When I get writers block, I go back and refine what I have already written.
