Suze Snow Sometimes it comes from personal experiences. It could be from conversations I hear whether it's from strangers, friends, family. Sometimes it could be just a topic I'm interested in and the characters and storylines unfold from there. Once in a while, ideas just pop up in my head and I always write those ideas down to reference for future stories.
Suze Snow I'm currently working on 3 different stories, now that I have my writer's itch again. One short fantasy, one longer novella length of a bully/romance high school story, and another romance involving girlfriends who reunite after a long time due to numerous circumstances. All with happy endings of course!
Suze Snow The best thing to me about being a writer is living my life through my characters. It's a fun and wild ride at times. The fantasies and experiences they go through are surreal and quite emotional at times. Writing to me is almost therapeutic especially as I shift toward writing lesbian romance.
Suze Snow Just keep going! Don't live in fear and worry about being judged that your work is not good enough in your mind. If you have a story that you want to share, write it! You might be surprised to find out how likable and relatable your stories are to readers.
Suze Snow What I usually do is put the story down and go for a walk and listen to a variety of music to help me feel the characters' emotions and brainstorm different scenarios for them.
