Much of my first novel is about life in the kitchen. I have always wanted to tell the story of what passionate life is like in that environment. I also wanted to tell this story from the Latio perspective, because much of the kitchen workforce is made up of hard working Latinos. The immigrant Latino has a great story to be told, especially those who work in the restaurant business. Lastly, many Americans have a stereotype for the Latino immigrant that characterizes them in a poor light. Each Latino immigrant deserves to be provided the true light of Jesus, and my main character finds true salvation in Christ Jesus.

I am currently working on my second novel. My second novel will include many of the same subcharacters, and will still involve the same restaurant. The difference will be many differences between the second and first novel. The second novel is about an Arabic woman who is trying to find her identity her in Michigan. The difficulty lies in balancing her diverse cultural background with establishing who she now wants to become. She will find a job working in the same restaurant that is portrayed in my first novel. Faith will once again be a major theme in the character's choices.

Daniel Silva has a spy writer named Michael, who is married to the daughter of his mentor. She is a strong willed woman who was also a spy. The author does a great job in pairing these two together, where the main character is challenged to be a better man. Interestingly enough, the beginning of their relationship was hampered by memories of his first wife, who is severely incapacitated.
