I was writing something completely different when I had a thought. I considered incorporating this new idea into the book I was writing at the time, but it wasn't going to work, and the novel I was writing wasn't going anywhere. I stopped writing that novel, and began writing Darkness Within.

Getting to make up a reality, finding solutions to problems you create in the least expected places. Getting to know your characters, falling in love with them. That's the best part.
