Barbara Meyers I don't create reading lists. I browse the library for books that look interesting. I have some favorite authors and I always look for books by them that I haven't already read. And sometimes, I pick up a book by one of them that I have already read, but I have no memory of reading it. This happened recently with a Sandra Brown novel, I'd read two years earlier. I should check my Goodreads list of books read before I start one. It was on there! Sometimes I'll hear of a new book I want to read or see notice of a new one out by a fave author and I'll make a note to find those.
Barbara Meyers Maybe not a book of pure satire snippets, but I am strongly considering putting together a non-fiction collection of my best blogs, some essays, short stories and my crazy Dr. Seuss-like poetry for adults. Release in 2018 maybe.
Barbara Meyers I try to remember that I can't fix a blank page. Sometimes bad writing can turn into good writing if you just keep writing. There's a reason delete keys were invented and also why there are cut and paste options.
Barbara Meyers If you're not going to write something of quality, please don't bother.
Barbara Meyers I'm working on three things right now. Revising a manuscript entitled Fantasyman (pray for me); a new romantic comedy entitled Cleo's Web; and trying to finish the second Grinding Reality book (written as AJ Tillock) entitled Cool Beans.
Barbara Meyers Nobody's Fool, which is coming out in January 2015 from Samhain Publishing, was inspired by my son and his fiancée. They were BFFs in high school, dated after graduation and then went their separate ways. They got back together two years ago.
