Getting to live vicariously through my characters! Oh, and getting the satisfaction of killing off people in your writing that you could've fashioned your fictional characters after. I'm not saying I've done this, but I totally would. It is also such an outlet for me. Writing relieves stress and let's some of your creative juices flow. Gotta love it! It's your world and you can make ANYTHING happen.

I have three pieces of advice for aspiring writers: 1. Never give up. 2. Spend the money on a writing convention. I learned so much from veteran writers, agents, and publishers on how to edit, submit query letters, and so much more. It is worth the money. 3. Get a partner. Find someone you trust. Someone that will be brutally honest about your work as well as being your cheerleader. Use them to bounce your ideas off of, and they will share theirs with you as well. My writing partner and I met on a critique partner site, and we have been very close ever since. I love her to pieces, and don't know if I could write without her (thank you, Amy.) It takes a village, right folks?

Seizing Scorpio, Book Two in The Zodiac Series,is finished. It will be edited in the beginning of March, so I hope it will be released sometime late March 2015 or April 2015. My Illiana fans won't have to wait too long for the next book! Right now, I'm working on a YA dystopia, which is totally not my usual thing, but again, it was a dream and I felt compelled to write it. I'm also working on book three of The Zodiac Series, Gems for the Gemini. I hope to have it done in the next few months.

Most of my book ideas come from dreams. I know it sounds cliche, but it is true for me.

I have so many different influences for this book: The Bible, creation stories, Ancient Aliens TV show, all of my favorite authors, Lara Adrian, Kim Harrison, Laurell K. Hamilton, and Charlaine Harris to name a few. I kept reading and thought, "Gosh, I would do that different," or "Why did they break up? Why did they kill him off? I loved him." Finally, my mother said, "Why don't you write your own stories?" so I did!
