Christopher Mari Without doubt, I'd go to the Star Trek universe. I've loved it since I was a kid for its adventure, humanity and optimism. My biggest problem would be trying to figure out if I wanted to hang out with Kirk or Picard!
Christopher Mari You make a valid point about tech. I definitely agree with Ray Bradbury about technology having serious unintended consequences, and how we need to be mindful of them. (Remember he famously never got a driver’s license because he thought cars were beyond dangerous.)

At the same time, I also agree with Gene Roddenberry’s very optimistic outlook about the future of humanity. We’ve come a long way in a few thousand years, even though it might not look that way all the time. Harnessing the positive aspects technology—and taming the negative ones—will likely play a large part in making that optimistic outlook a reality.
