I'm a bit late in answering this question, which was posited five years ago. Since this year, 2024, is about to expire, by way of answer, I will list the books I read in 2024. I reread "Sula," and "Love" by Toni Morrison, "The Stone Diaries" by Carol Shields, and "Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Achebe. I read for the first time "The Vegetarian" by Han Kang, "The Dyzgraphxst" by Canisia Lubrin, "Tai-pan" by James Clavell, "Interstice" by George Goddard, "Plot: The Art of Story," and "Narrative: Telling the Story" both by Amy Jones. And I have started reading "Theatre of the Mind" by Modeste Downes, "A Brief History of Seven Killings" by Marlon James, "From Third World to First" by Lee Kuan Yew, and "Power and Progress" by Daron Acemoglu & Simon Johnson.
