I go back. I re-read. I now I'm stopped because something I wrote earlier isn't ringing right anymore with the point where I'm now stuck. There's a problem that must be fixed. The goal becomes to find it.

For The Shadow Stalker I got the idea from several creepy experiences that happened to me in the house I grew up in. On more than one occasion I saw a shadow stretched on the hall wall outside my bedroom. I was the only one in the house. It often happened while I was sleeping, mostly after afternoon naps. Everyone would say I had just dreamed it. But I knew better.
At least then I did. Now I often think maybe I did just imagine it. But if I didn't?
Well...that question led to the plot for this story.
