I've wanted to write ever since I fell in love with the Black Stallion when I was in 2nd grade. During that year, i could not wait to get home and disappear into Walter Farley's world created all around the Black Stallion and his best friend Alec. For me, this alternate universe was so much more exciting than the daily grind of being 8. I decided then I would one day be a writer.

I find that when I keep a strict schedule for my writing and put my butt in the seat, I don't call prey to the Block. But the moment I let my schedule slide, I miss a session, I find it much harder to keep the flow of words rolling.
