My book manager has booked me on a blog tour. Right now we're looking at February for a cover reveal. I'll make sure to post updates. :D Thanks so much for asking!

Roses Are Red...Violet Is Dead actually started out as just that...a title. I was sitting on my couch watching Bones or Criminal Minds and the rhyme just popped into my head. Immediately I ran upstairs to my writerly lair and started trying to work out why this title needs to be a book. Next thing I knew, Violet was a real person to me. She was running with a story line and I just followed her.

I watch crime dramas. It always sparks something that I NEED to write about. Not all of it ends up becoming a book, but it's nice to have something to write.

I'm actually working on two projects right now. Josie's Room....a ghost story....(I'm leaving it at that..) and Blood So Violet Book 2 of the Blood So Violet Series.

I've been asked this on Facebook several times. The answer I ALWAYS give is to WRITE. Just write. It doesn't matter if you think it's dreck. It doesn't matter if the subject matter isn't what's popular out there. Just write.

The best thing? It's being able to do what I've always wanted to do. The moment I realized that actual people wrote books, I knew that I wanted to be one of those actual people. The best part of being a writer is getting to do that.

Writer's block is a toughie isn't it? If it's something as simple as I'm having trouble finding the right words, I'll head to my phone to play a little Bejeweled Blitz. Something mindless that'll let other parts of my brain work out what I'm having issues with. Most of the time it's seriously helpful. Other times, I have to go to my family members and bombard them with a long narrative of what my issue is and maybe something they say will create that spark that I need to move past my block.
