P.D. Kalnay Thank you for reviewing Ivy’s Tangle. The second book, Ivy’s Bind is already available, and the third book Ivy’s Blossom is at a finished first-draft stage. I’m intending the Legend of the White Sword series to be seven books in total: Ivy’s Tangle, Ivy’s Bind, Ivy’s Blossom, Knight’s Haven, Black Hammer, Sliver Mantle, and finally White Sword (last four titles are still subject to change). Each book has been longer than the preceding book. I expect that to continue, with greater world building requirements, as the story continues. Thanks for reading.
P.D. Kalnay I think most good writing is inspired by reading or living a fascinating life. I read.
P.D. Kalnay The third book of the Arros Chronicles, a meaty science fiction novel, and the illustrations for a distressingly large number of picture books.
P.D. Kalnay Write because you enjoy it or have something worth saying. Those are the only good reasons to write.
P.D. Kalnay I don’t consider myself a writer. I’m just a guy who writes stuff. The distinction, for me, is that I write for fun, but couldn't pay my bills with the result.
P.D. Kalnay I rarely get writer’s block. When I do, I push past it one of two ways. Either I get up and go for a walk to clear my head or I work on a totally unrelated project until I feel ready to go back the original project. Sometimes, I’ll knock out a children’s book or a poem to shake up a long stretch of novel writing. Smaller projects give a feeling of accomplishment when I’m struggling to finish something larger.
