I don't really believe in it. I think everybody finds it hard, at times, to do their chosen job - even if they really love it. The best course of action is to follow Anthony Trollope's example, and put in so many hours a day. However tough the going may be, you'll get your book finished if you are determined to do so.

I think it's unwise to look for "inspiration". Writing requires determination and effort. You have ideas and interests - and a desire to write about them. Then, you've got to put in the time, and keep at the writing. The satisfaction of producing a book is enormous.
