The idea formed more than a decade ago when I traveled to China. While being driven through a remote area by a taxi driver who spoke no English, I imagined what would happened if I was suddenly stranded. The idea returned to me and changed on another trip with a colleague who manages to confuse everyone with his crazy antics. I then combined the two ideas, being stranded in a foreign country with working with a crazy colleague for this comedy.
