I don't often get it, as i'm simply describing how to do something on the guitar. If i'm stuck, it's normally a sign of getting burned out so I take a break and play with my dogs! Once, I simply bit off more than I could chew and shelved the book (no pun intended) and immediately started a new one. The book hadn't felt right from the beginning and it was better to start something new than to create a bad book that my heart wasn't in.

Just write. had no idea my first book would catch on. I had no idea people would like my stuff! It's so easy to publish these days there's nothing stopping you apart from the fear of a bad review... and we all get those occasionally.

The next book is going to be something to do with Funk Guitar rhythm. I think it's an essential skill and really opens up a lot of expressive options.

I have to be fairly disciplined. Every time I have an idea for a book topic I jot it down. I've got a list of 18 pending books.

Normally I write about stuff I'm working through. I've been getting into great depth with Jazz Guitar Chords recently.
