Maria Gibbs Gosh sorry, I'm terrible for checking in here.
I think this is a hard question, for me, i love the escapism of reading and writing books and love a variety of genres so it would be so hard to choose one.
I think if you were to push me I'd have to say the faraway tree because there is different land to visit every few days and what I would do has to be determined by what land I enter.
Maria Gibbs A good question. No, I don't think it has really. In the first lockdown, I was furloughed and it gave me more opportunity to write but I've worked through the other lockdowns. I gave a brief nod to the pandemic when I mentioned a child was born in 2020 in my current WIP.
Maria Gibbs Currently, I'm working on book two of a trilogy. The first book in the series, Is This Love? was released a few years ago but I started writing it about seventeen years ago. It took about 12 years to write book one. Happily, I have sped up the writing process and pushed through my worries about getting it wrong since then.
Illicit Love should be available in 2011. I have decided to wait until book three is nearly completed before I publish this one.
Maria Gibbs I don't tend to plan on what to read next, I, like so many people have an extensive TBR pile in both print and e-books so when I finish reading I look at my pile and see what calls out to me to read.
Maria Gibbs My life is nowhere near as dramatic as my books so I fear there would be no plot for a story there. :-)
Maria Gibbs Write, write and write more. Enjoy it. Start creating yourself as a brand before releasing your work onto the market or you will be playing catch up as I was. Get involved in book clubs online.
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
Maria Gibbs I just put hands on keyboard or on pen and it normally flows. If not then I will focus on the edit, or look at the social media marketing, designing book cover. Anything that develops the creativity. If not going somewhere beautiful normally does it. I find the biggest block comes from being at home and fretting over all the chores not done!
Maria Gibbs It's all inside waiting to come out. Sometime I just pick up a pen or place my hands on the keyboard and it flows. Being on a train, plane or a beautiful environment inspires me most as you are free from daily life.
