Bill Patton An author webinar I was on had some ideas for how to make different kinds of eBooks.
Bill Patton I perspire to write. Its more about serving people with good information, than it is some great idea, but those come too. If you aim to serve people, then occasionally you might get the great idea.
Bill Patton I am updating some classic works, bringing them into the 21st century. In a month or two I will be publishing a collection of eBooks into a paperback volume.
Bill Patton Begin with a non-fiction, write an article on a topic you know really well. Plan to write a 500 word article. Then write another one. Create a series and soon you will have the word count you need for a book.
Bill Patton People admire you, because they themselves also want to be writers. The ironic thing is once you finally publish something, it feels easy and like falling off a bike, you never forget how to do it.
Bill Patton I write every morning, unless I am in the final stages of publishing a book which becomes 'break time'. I try not to feel guilty about not writing, but instead think about "What do I want to write about today?" If I don't feel like writing something new, then I will look at a draft of something already written and refine that piece.
