An error occurred while sorting questions for author Daniel Clausen.
I do not write reviews on Amazon. I was excluded after a review of the first three BBC adaptations of Rawlings's STRIKE novels that I found reduced to a prime-time skeleton. Ms. Rawlings did not like my question concerning her transsexual identity. Note the adaptations got rid of any element implying a trans-anything about the authorESS. But I do write, duly salaried on Medium.com. How can I get your book?

What was the worst thing about writing a book with me?
Daniel Clausen Hmmm...well, typically I'd do my humor thing here, but I've got no humor mojo today. I guess it's because I've been reading "A Tale of Two Cities" which has long stretches of guillotine humor/sarcasm. So, I guess I'll just be honest.

Nothing. There was not a single drawback. So, now we move on to assembling the rest of the Reejecttion League (or, "Reejectts" for short) so we can do bigger and better projects (or smaller and funner projects).

What are these:
The Underground Novel (if this is possible)
ReejecttIIIon -- The Wrath of the Low Budget Short Story (or something about Internet Trolls)
or some other vaguely defined project.

Dear Mr. Clausen, Is the rumour true that you did not actually write any of your new book ReejecttIIon – a number two, but instead trained a genetically modified chimp to do it for you?
Daniel Clausen Genetically modified chimp? Writing material for ReejecttIIon? That's just bananas!

Bobo did some formatting, outlining, budgeting, proofreading, revision notes, taught Harry Whitewolf how to read, taught Harry Whitewolf how to write, handled the authors' debts with the mafia, helped settle copyright infringements out of court, got Harry Whitewolf off of pills, scheduled promotional events...but Bobo did very little of the writing.

I'd love to read the rest of the Ghosts of Nagasaki, from the parts I've already read its gotten my interest and would make a treasured addition to my library. Daniel Clausen Hey Emily, I would suggest you get a reviewer's copy. All I ask in return is a review on GR and Amazon (and that you do one more marketing-related activity, like tell a friend). Unfortunately, I can't get you a signed copy. I'm overseas at the moment, and it's impractical to send you a copy from where I'm at. I'll contact you shortly via message.

I heard you are working on a book called "Reeejectttion" or "Re-reejecttion," a followup to your smash hit (and New York Times rejected) "Reejecttion." Can you comment on that book?
Daniel Clausen Rumors that I am working on a sequel to my anti-best-selling book "Reejecttion" can neither be confirmed nor denied at this time. If such a book were in the works, I can assure you that 1) I will write each story while chain-smoking cigarettes and threatening literary revolution and death to all heretics! 2) Coolio and Vanilla Ice will collaborate on the title track to the soundtrack (pending a suitable deal with their agents involving payment in Combo snacks) 3) the word "swaga" will make an appearance in Act III Scene ii 4) the girl from Twilight will die at the end of the book somehow, even if it has no logical consistency with the narrative.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Daniel Clausen I don't have writer's block! I have re-writer's block! I love starting new projects, creating new characters, and imagining plots. But re-writing stories--smoothing out dialogue, re-imagining characters, doing research to fill in holes--this can be as tedious as any job. In fact most day jobs are less tedious and more rewarding than this part of writing. And yet, this kind of work is the difference between so-so writers and great writers.

What are you currently working on?
Daniel Clausen I'm currently working on a collection of short stories. It is tentatively titled "This is the End / Is this the End?" So far, I have about 8 short stories and essays finished. I'm not sure when it will be finished, but I want all of these short stories and essays to be absolute gems.
