Arkaprava De I have finished the book a few days back. Presently, I am not reading anything. I am writing instead.
Someone who has read the actual stories in Bengali might feel that its actual essence is lost but for an individual like me who unfortunately struggles with the Bengali language and has thus not been able to taste such prolific literary works that have been etched in this magnificent and rich language over the years by several eminent personalities would not care much. Moreover Arunava has put in his best effort in carving out the same for which I extend my appreciation to him.
Arkaprava De Anything and everything I see around me inspires me to write. I have always found the society as the most important subject to write on. So much of social issues the world is facing off-late, what more inspiration one needs?
Arkaprava De I have recently finished my second manuscript and am completely focused on making a few changes, constructional and technical. Once the editing, re-editing and checking is done, it shall be up for submissions!
Arkaprava De The best thing about being a writer is to possess creativity in its own unique version. It feels great to be acclaimed and acknowledged publicly for your writings. It also is a kind of learning in disguise, helping to take up criticism positively and to try and rectify the mistakes at the earliest.
Arkaprava De My debut work, Joys and Woes are woven fine was partially fictional. It was based on a lady who existed for real. My next book which is almost up for publishing is also based on some real characters, whom I have known personally. To shape it up as a story, a lot of fictional incidences had to be added. I have always focused on society and writing on social issues which is the need of the hour. This one is nothing different!
Arkaprava De This question is something I love answering the most. The most important suggestion for a person who is aspiring to join the literary league is to be sure of what he is writing, how good he is writing, the target audience and the reason behind writing the same. Never ever give up on your writing ability, keep polishing it. Try and imbibe the best of linguistic skills. Get your work revised, edited and re-edited before considering it for submissions. Never be disappointed; success is surely on the way!!
