How do you get inspired to write?
Jenna Howard I wish had the right answer for this, but it's always changing. I've been away from the words lately and while I was going back to school, it wasn't the only reason. This year it was a friend who helped get me writing. A brainstorming lunch with author Shelley Kassian ironed on some wrinkles on where to start and what my conflict was. It's enough to get me at the words again.

Inspiration can be found anywhere. Sometimes you just need help seeing the way.

What are you currently working on?
Jenna Howard As of today (10/29/17) I'm working on finishing up the sequel to Her Surrender. It stars two characters from the first book with some surprise appearances by Wells (and likely Amy).

After that the next is a steamy romance about a divorced couple brought together by the number 40 and hard times.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Jenna Howard I love when the story comes together. I can be writing along and then bam! everything suddenly clicks. All those puzzle pieces just make sense and I can see the full picture.

Bet this would happen sooner if I planned everything in advance...

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Jenna Howard I'm big on avoidance. My friends are big on nagging me.

When I don't write it's because I'm in the weeds and I have no idea to get out. Writing doesn't come with a GPS...I wish. I'd probably write a lot faster. I need to figure out where I went wrong, hopefully before I scrape 5,000 words. Cuz...that never happens *cough*
