Lorna Collins What caused my grandmother's death at 23? (I finally got a copy of her death certificate, so I now know, but for years the family told conflicting stories.)
Lorna Collins Sometimes, I hear a song. Sometime,s I hear a phrase. Sometimes, I ask, "What if..." Sometimes, I meet someone who inspires a character. I never know what will inspire a story line.
Lorna Collins I am working with my husband on the sequel to "The Memory Keeper," " Becoming the Jewel." They are historical novels set in San Juan Capistrano, California. The first book took two-and-a-half years to research. This one may take longer.

Write, write, write

Lorna Collins The satisfaction when your work is finished. I "craft" my writing. I do lots of research and carefully create characters and put them in creative but believable situations. I'm also my best--and worst--critic. I look for all plot holes and errors. Lorna Collins I am usually working on at least two different books at the same time. If I get stuck on one, I work on the other.
Lorna Collins "...And a Sixpence in Her Shoe" is the sixth in our Aspen Grove series. We began in 2007 with "Snowflake Secrets." We enjoyed writing the anthologies so much we continued the following year with "Seasons of Love." "Directions of Love" (EPIC eBook Award winner), and "An Aspen Grove Christmas" followed. We love the fictional town we created and keep returning to it.
