Unfortunately, the original publisher, Samhain, went under a year ago - BUT I recently reissued the entire Blaze trilogy into a single book a few months ago!

This one's a toughie - I love Lord of the Rings and Dragonriders of Pern, but I don't know if I'd want to land in the middle of all that trouble! But I'd love to visit the future New York of the In Death series by J.D. Robb and be able to follow Eve Dallas around as she solves crimes... and stare at Roarke all I want! :D

The biggest mystery, for me, is how the heck some guy started reading my fanfiction and then wrote me a fan letter and then, even after discovering what I was like, continued to woo and court me until we got married! ;)

I have to admit an everlasting love for Eve and Roarke, from J.D. Robb's "In Death" series! Ever since I picked up the first book years ago I've been drawn to them and I'm happy to say my husband's a big fan as well!
I love them because they're so good together, each filling in what the other needs and the fact that they're messed-up, flawed people who found each other and true love. (Or Twu Luv as I call it in my mind!) It reinforces my belief that you don't have to be perfect and that someone who loves you, that REALLY loves you will take you as you are, imperfections and all, and help you when you need it - not try to change you to what he or she thinks you should be.

There's a second book in the series, "In the Void" and a free short story, "Interlude" but unfortunately there's no others set up for publication at this point. (But never say never!)
I'm glad you enjoyed reading "In the Black" and hope you'll look over some of my other work - I've got two books coming out in September from St. Martin's Press/Swerve!

I don't get inspired - I write because if I don't I feel almost physically ill. It might not be anything epic, it might be a mess of words that I'll only be able to save a few sentences from but I HAVE to write every day.

I got the idea for "In the Black" from a variety of sources - but primarily from "Firefly"! I loved Inara, a strong woman doing exactly what she wanted to do and took the idea of a courtesan and extrapolated it into the Guild and the Bonnie Belle... and of course every ship needs a captain so Sam Keller came on board and Marshal Daniel LeClair had to visit so...
