I get inspired through what I read as well as what I see on the news and in life. My imagination tends to run wild which, in my line of work isn't necessarily a bad thing. Also my faith is very important to me, and is a part of very aspect of my life.

I do three things,
First, I re-read what I have written to see if there is anything that needs to be changed or can be approved on.
Second, I read books.
And Three, I take a walk. Fresh air helps, then I come back with a clear head and some fresh ideas.

I grew up watching crime shows with my mom, and of all the Biblical parables The Prodigal Son has to be my favorite. So I blended the two together.

My advice for aspiring writers is to read read read. Also if you have an idea for a story run with it, regardless of what critics might say. Let them grumble, just write.It's your story not theirs. Lastly don't be afraid to fail, just make sure that failure doesn't stop you.Use it as a spring board.
