Sons and Soldiers is now available. It is set in Europe during WWII. My new one, Bridge to the Sun, now available for preorder, will be out on 9/27. It takes place in the Pacific during WWII. Both I researched with personal interviews, oral histories, archival records, etc. They both took about 2 years to research, and another year to write. Hope you enjoy reading both!

from World War I who died at age 110. It said as a middle-aged civilian shipping company emplyee he had been held in Los Baños Internment Camp near Manila during WWII, and was liberated "in one of the most famous prison camp raids of the war." I had never heard of this "famous" raid, and set out to learn more. That lead to my forthcoming book, Rescue at Los Baños: The Most Daring Prison Camp Raid of World War. II.

Another World War II story; this one set in the European theatre. I love the Greatest Generation, and want to tell as many of their stories as I can while they are still with us in some numbers. They fought the good fight against evil, and had they lost our world would look much different today.

By doing something other than sitting in front of a blank monitor. Get up, move around, take a walk, empty the garbage for the third time that day. Then, when you are ready, go back to thinking about the story you want to tell. That usually puts me in a hurry to get back to writing. The best way to start or restart?
