Joy V. Smith As the incoming tide rose above his shoulders, the blood from the knife cuts on his arm spread on the water. Then something nuzzled his leg...
Joy V. Smith This is a hard question. Many of my favorite books are in locations and times that are interesting to read about, but you wouldn't want to live there--or visit. It would certainly be a science fiction world in the future. The past can be limited--especially for women. I'm going to go with James H. Schmitz' stories set in the Hub (Federation). And I choose: Agent of Vega. I love the world of the agents and their relationships. (The headquarters of the Department of Galactic Zones is on Jelta in the Vegan system.) I would enjoy exploring the frontier and working to keep it safe. (Btw, the heroine in Agent of Vega is named Pagadan.)
Joy V. Smith Besieged: Stories from The Iron Druid Chronicles
By: Kevin Hearne

The ancient gods are alive and well in the modern world in this hilarious, action-packed collection of original short stories featuring Atticus O’Sullivan, the two-thousand-year-old Irishman from Kevin Hearne’s New York Times bestselling Iron Druid Chronicles.

Joy V. Smith The tangled relationships of my father's family--and what happened to my uncle after his first wife alienated him from his brothers and how and where did he die after marrying his second wife (imported)...
Joy V. Smith Miles Vorkosigan and Ekaterin Vorsoissan. A great love story with that classic line after Miles had listed his lost loves and their current careers. Of course, there's also Miles parents' love story...
Joy V. Smith Early on, I think those authors who wrote about feisty girls and women: Andre Norton, James H. Schmitz, Anne McCaffrey, ...
Joy V. Smith It's an idea I really like from one of my favorite series...
Joy V. Smith Usually I want to get the story down before I lose too many scenes.
Joy V. Smith A sequel to Taboo Tech that I must finish.
Joy V. Smith Read. Not only books with advice and grammar, etc. refreshers, but books in your genre so you don't repeat what's been done too long.
Joy V. Smith I can sleep late! 'Course I have to stay up late to write and do stuff online--after I've done chores...
Joy V. Smith Lying down on the futon on the back porch and browsing with my mind sometimes works.
