Can you tell us a two-sentence horror story?
Maximus Freeman While walking home from middle school, with dusk fast approaching, I started my usually serene ten minute walk through the woods. About halfway through the dense forest in almost complete darkness, I felt the horrible searing pain of the ten inch carving knife shoved into the sciatic nerve in my lower back and the claustrophobic terror of the plastic satchel being pulled tightly around my neck, choking and suffocating me to death...

What books are on your summer reading list this year?
Maximus Freeman I'm just now finishing Gabaldon's eighth wonderful book in the Outlander series and look forward to starting her highly rated Lord John series.

I just finished reading Consciousness Archaeology. I will be re-reading this book. I found the techniques used in the book to be helpful. I don't have a question???

Maximus: This is something I'm asking of several writers (some friends, some strangers)... Do you think you're more vulnerable in your writing or in your personal life? What obstacles to vulnerability are there for you in either of those areas? And why do you think you're able to be more open in one area than in the other?
Maximus Freeman Hi Jason....Thank you for the great questions! I wear my heart on my sleeve, and feel that I express my vulnerability the same way in person, as I do in my writings. However, my writings allow me the opportunity to pour much more thought into how I language my vulnerability, which enables my eloquence to more clearly shine forth. Once I started sharing my specific experiences, strengths and hopes with others, it opened the flood gates of sharing all of my deepest fears, struggles and accomplishments. The biggest obstacle for vulnerable sharing used to be fear of rejection. Once that fear was transcended, I was able to lay my entire life out there for everybody to see with no concerns, as I realized that sharing my painful stories helps others to heal...Freeman
