Eddie crept down the stairs, slipped into the shadowy kitchen, and then yanked open the pantry. His heart nearly stopped - all of the chocolate was gone.

I’d go to the world in the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. I’d form a rock and roll band, and fly around the universe, and drink pan-galactic gargle blasters every night.

Hello, and thanks for your question. I like to mix classic novels with other stuff I'll probably like a lot better. Right now I plan to read Terry Pratchett's "Going Postal," (I've read a lot of his books), and maybe Tony Vigorito's "Love and Other Pranks," and then I'll throw in something by James Joyce that I'll read for about 50 pages before switching to a sci-fi book or a book by Elmore Leonard. Also, Christopher Moore has a few books I need to read. I've read most of his and I highly recommend them.

There's not enough mystery in my life - that's why I make things up. I guess fiction is the world I'd like to see.

I'm married, Emnoir. I've never had a Chicago dog - but I'll take your comment as a compliment. Potato chips are the best! Except for pizza and chocolate. Thanks for reading! This is a tough question - there are a lot of great ones. My first thought was Batman and Robin, but if we're talking about true romance here I'll go with Ellen Cherry Charles and "Boomer" Petway III from the Tom Robbins novel "Skinny Legs and All." Ellen is awesome, smart, and funny - and Boomer is a dedicated maniac. They seem to have little in common, yet the passion is there in a hilarious and fanatical way.

Thanks, Cecy. I'm not writing a series. I think everything I want to do with Magno Girl is done. My next book is about a girl who tries to fire up her love life by supernaturally tampering with her sex life. She gets mixed results.

Usually, the first line of a story occurs to me and I go from there.

It's a romantic comedy. It's about love and sex and confusion and chaos.

I don't want to give advice to anyone else. I tell myself, "Don't be too easily satisfied - but don't hate everything you do, either."

I eat a sandwich. I inherited this way of dealing with any kind of problem from my parents.
