I don't get as much time to read as I would like outside of the critique group I work with, but I definitely plan to read some good contemporary romance authors, such as Samantha Chase.

I wrote a 100K word novel. Had to delete 35K words from it.

Write some words, delete them. Write some new words, delete those. Eat some double stuffed Oreos, then write some more words. Eventually, the right words come out

Hands down, having someone tell me they loved my story. Whether it's a review, on social media, or in person, it's the most amazing feeling. If you love an author's book, tell them. It makes all the agony of writing worth it.

Write. Even when the words seem terrible, just keep writing. If I stopped every time I felt like the words were crap, I wouldn't have a single title to my name. In fact, I just told someone today that I was stuck, I've rewritten the same chapter three times now. It's like trying to find your way in a dark maze. You just have to keep going until you find the "write" path. I know there is an end, sometimes it just takes a few wrong turns to get there.

Everyday things inspire me. Sometimes it's something silly or foolish I've done. I'm a bit clumsy. Sometimes it's conversations I overhear at the coffee shop (you should probably never sit near me, you might end up in a book, ha!). Inspiration comes in many ways for me and almost always at a time when I lack a pen to jot down my thoughts.

I was sitting in a coffee shop writing another novel, FORGIVE ME, when I glanced over and the guy in the chair next to me was reading an issue of SNIPER. To be honest, it made me a little uncomfortable so I left. You can find the scene in EXPOSURE. It's exactly how the main characters meet.
