Writing a book is possibly the most difficult thing anyone can do. It takes a lot of dedication to sit down and not only write the story, but edit it, rewrite it, edit it again, rewrite it again, rinse and repeat. And once you do finally feel like it is good enough, you send it off in hopes of getting the interest of a literary agent or publisher.
There will be a lot of rejection and critics picking apart every little bit of your writing. This, you have to let just roll off of you. Keep driving forward. As Anne McCaffrey once said to me, "Keep sending it out until someone sends you a check."

I think the best thing about being a writer is the fact that I can help others escape on an adventure or inspire them to make up their own.

I have several stories to tell. I write to tell them and, hopefully, inspire those that read my books to aspire to their own dreams.

I had to do a book report in high school, so I went to the library and picked out a random book. That book turned out to be Anne McCaffrey's "Dragonsong", which is the story of a young girl who tames nine mini dragons. It got me wondering what it would be like if that same young girl tamed full-sized dragons instead. And since I was playing Final Fantasy VII a lot at the time, I came up with the idea of elemental dragons.

I head out to a public place such as Barnes & Noble or IHOP, drink copious amounts of coffee, and just start writing. Sometimes I write good stuff, sometimes it is just fluff. At least it's writing.

I am currently working on Case Two of "The AEON Files", "Dragon Diaries" 2, and the first of the "Mars Chronicles".
