I have anticipated the release of Stepping Across the Line and just finished reading it. It is worth wait (rewind) it is worth the wait. Will there be a novella with Garrett and friends , Liam, Owen, Carol along with their families?
Laura Marie Altom Hi Lynetta--First, BIG apologies for not answering this sooner! I never saw your note. Thank you for your kind words for Garrett and Savannah. This is probably one of my favorite stories ever, as Garrett pretty much wrote his own story! I'd love to create a novella that reunites the gang, but since this book was published for Loveswept, I sadly don't own the rights to the characters. Should that change, I'll let you know! xoxo

I'm an aspiring writer, but I'm dealing with two things: I get discouraged every single day because 96% of manuscripts are rejected, and I haven't had an idea for years, literally. There's too many people wanting to be writers, and knowing there's so much competition just kills me a little every day. When I get motivated, immediatly something appears about the industry that kills it. Any tips on how to deal with this?
Laura Marie Altom Hi Cintia--You know how they put blinders on horses to keep them from getting upset? It should be mandatory that writers get a pair, too! Seriously, if you focus on every piece of bad news in not just the writing world, but the world as a whole, it can be crippling. My heartfelt advice to you is to write for the joy of it. Ignore what industry statistics say and just write. Maybe when you feel creative, make sure to stay away from the internet? Or set aside an hour each morning for writing "play". Yes, there's more competition than ever, but there are also more avenues than ever for writers' to have their work read and sold. Major hugs. If it helps, this happens to almost every professional writer I know. Your will to create must override all doubt. You've got this!! xoxo

Do we have a release date yet on Shamed series book #4? I am a little excited about it right now...what with # 3 releasing next week!
Laura Marie Altom Good morning, 2kasmom! Not only is there a 12/15/15 release date for Stepping Over the Line, but a cover for Garrett's story!! Funny, he's such a meanie in the first three books that I wasn't sure even I liked him enough for his own story, but he's now one of my favorites from the series. Hope you end up loving him, too!! xoxo

Laura Marie Altom Thank you, Ruby! I'm so glad you enjoyed Ella and Liam's journey. While they will certainly be around in book three of the Shamed series, in Rebound, it will be Carol and Nathan's turn for a happy ending! Book four will feature Garrett. :-)

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Laura Marie Altom I struggle with this issue--especially during times when I'm on a tight deadline, yet family drama doesn't care! LOL!! Usually, it helps me to make a conscious effort to get away from my computer. I watch a movie, clean closets, do laundry or dishes--anything but write. Within a few hours, I'm typically good to go. When I'm REALLY stuck, I write in the middle of the night when I'm too tired to self-judge every word I put on the page.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Laura Marie Altom Working in my pajamas! Being able to work while still being available 24/7 when my kids or Hubby need me--which is pretty much constantly! LOL!! :-)
