Andy Graham I have a prequel to Franklin which is being edited at the moment. While editing Franklin, a few questions about the backstory came up which needed resolving. I felt there was enough material in these changes and clarifications to warrant a novella in their own right. This grew into a short novel, which I thought was a valuable addition to the series (I need to get the hang of this 'taking stuff out' rather than 'putting stuff in' element of editing).

Once this is done, I would like to tie up the loose ends from Franklin and then move onto something else. I also have a few short stories bubbling in various states of readiness, and am sitting on them until I can decide what to do with them.
Andy Graham I faff. I clean. I tidy. I play with the kids. I do stuff. I go to the gym. I check social media. I even do some work. Then I remember (again) that I just need to sit back down and start typing. That usually does the trick.
Andy Graham Franklin - a brother in search of himself came from a few short stories I wrote in the summer of 2014. One was about a future society and its policy on twins. The genetic similarity of twins means its harder to identify them though DNA, and I wanted to explore how a government would deal with that. The second story sprang from a sentence I said to my son one day 'Where's your ray gun gone, Ray?'. I was going to try and get them published in a magazine, but after talking to a friend (who had recently written a book), I decided to try and work these two shorts into a story. It's something I'd always wanted to do, but had always out off. I think I was also worried I'd never have another idea again. 14 months later, the two shorts have been hammered into a full length novel, and I have more ideas than time.
