Molly Carroll I am currently working on a book about the tips, tools, stories and experiences I have learned from working as a therapist for over 20 years. It will be titled something like, Secrets from a Therapist. It will be like going to therapy in a book!
Molly Carroll I try another creative endeavor. I will draw, or go be in nature. I will do a few yoga poses, or say a quick pray for inspiration. I will look around and or browse my favorite blogs or websites. There is so much beautiful inspiration out there, we just need to get quiet, open our hearts and minds and wait for the muse to arrive. That also may not be for a day or two.
Molly Carroll The creativity, freedom, and touching readers. I love to hear from my readers about things they learned or how they grew or transformed from one of my books.
Molly Carroll I was never told I was a writer or ever received good grades on my writing, but I loved to write. I wrote in hundreds of journals and then one day one of my journals became my first book, Cracking Open. So my advice is to silence the inner and outer critics and write about what you love or struggling with, write about your successes and failures. Or if you are a fiction writer let your imagination fly.
Molly Carroll I love to write in the morning, early in the morning. I wake up make a cup of coffee and just whatever is arising in my life I write about. It may be being a mom, or a therapist. It may be missing my dad who died 5 years ago or frustration over a political or cultural issue. I trust that whatever is arising should be on the blank page and let it flow!
Molly Carroll I have always loved following my intuition. It has led me to make the best decisions of my life. I was in New York at an informal meeting with Amazon and they asked me about a conference I spoke at. I was talking about how the topic of my talk was on trust and I spoke more in detail about trusting my intuition. It was at this moment that we talked about writing a book on intuition.
