Read much and often. Read what interests you and what is considered great in your chosen genre. And read outside your normal interests. Fiction and non-fiction. Write every day. Write what you would enjoy. Never stop. ...except maybe to go to the bathroom.

Books I've read, movies & shows I've watched, and the world around me (often nature) inspire me to write. I often listen to music while writing. That helps too. Sometimes I select the music to fit the mood of the scene I'm working on. When I get into the right emotion for a scene, it really helps me write that part of the story.
